Karmelitánské nakladatelství (Carmelite Publishing House)

Almost two thousand books on theme of Christianity – that is the balance after twenty five years of activity at Karmelitánské nakladatelství.

KNA was established with the idea of bringing the basic works of the Carmelite spirituality, such as by St Teresa of Ávila, St John of the Cross and St Thérèse of Lisieux, to Czech readers. Shortly thereafter, another collection under the name „Spiritual Life“ was added, and also other books from the field of Biblical study, liturgy and poetry, followed by collections of books on homiletics, theology, spirituality, psychology and pastoral work, ane later on also fine literature, memoirs, gift publications, calendars and more, including books for children and young adults.

Among foreign authors, John Paul II, Anselm Grün, Józef Augustyn, Wilfrid Stinissen, Raniero Cantalamessa and others have drawn great interest. Noteworthy among Czech authors are Vojtěch Kodet, Kateřina Lachmanová, Jaro Křivohlavý, Max Kašparů, Oldřich Selucký, Hana Pinknerová and others.

Through our ditribution net and in about 15 bookstores, readers can buy not only books of high quality - both our titles and by other Christian publishers, event. big part of Czech humanitarian book production - but also monastery products such as liquers, tea, honey etc. Wholesalers can use the B2B system.
